Dr. Tiyash Bose is a staff scientist at Labcorp Drug Development and has several years of research experience in bioanalytical method development. In his current role, Tiyash supports clinical trial studies by providing scientific and technical consultations to lab technicians, project managers and sponsors and oversees the laboratory's technical aspects to help ensure quality of the laboratory test results. Before joining Labcorp, Tiyash worked in the research and development division at Meridian Bioscience Inc. where he was responsible for the development of a new lateral flow immunoassay-based diagnostic device.
Tiyash earned his doctorate in clinical and bioanalytical chemistry from Cleveland State University. He then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute where he worked toward developing a point-of-care testing device to detect bacterial infection in clinical samples. He then joined the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as an Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) fellow. In this role, he developed an immunoassay kit for the trace detection of illicit drugs on contaminated surfaces in real time to protect law enforcement agents and first responders.
