Use

VENTANA FOLR1 RxDx Assay is an immunohistochemical assay using mouse monoclonal anti-FOLR1-2.1, intended for use in the assessment of folate receptor alpha (FOLR1) protein in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer tissue specimens by light microscopy.

Special Instructions

Note: This test number is used for tracking oncology IHC specimens to the laboratory. Bill codes will be added when testing is complete, based on the processes performed in the laboratory.

Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block

Volume

One paraffin block or five unstained slides sectioned at 4-5 microns, no more than 45 days in age

Minimum Volume

Three unstained slides

Refrigerate; protect from light

Causes for Rejection

Slides sectioned greater than 45 days prior to test request; improper fixation, freezing, thawing, washing, drying, heating, sectioning or contamination with other tissue
