Turnaround time is defined as the usual number of days from the date of pickup of a specimen for testing to when the result is released to the ordering provider. In some cases, additional time should be allowed for additional confirmatory or additional reflex tests. Testing schedules may vary.
Use
The intended use of this test is to determine the presence of CMV IgG antibody and its avidity.
Special Instructions
If CMV Ab, IgG is >0.69, test will reflex to CMV IgG Avidity at an additional charge.

Collection Instructions
Identify specimen as acute or convalescent. Acute and convalescent specimens must be submitted on separate test request forms.
