Strategies for Conducting Environmental Fate Studies on UVCB Substances

May 15, 2022
SETAC-EU 2022 -- The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is responsible for implementing the European Union's chemicals legislation. This is designed to ensure the safe use of chemicals while protecting human health and the environment. In order to achieve this, ECHA requires chemical substances to be registered under REACH which stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals and was adopted on 1 June 2007. REACH applies to all chemical substances including those used in industrial processes, cleaning products, paints and those used in clothes, furniture and electrical appliances. Therefore, the regulation has an impact on most companies across the EU.
