Dr Walker is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry in toxicological chemistry and a fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry. She has an undergraduate degree in medical technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pharmacokinetics.
Dr Walker has been with MedTox Laboratories Inc., a member of the Labcorp Specialty Testing Group, for more than 25 years. She is currently the director of clinical toxicology at MedTox. She is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the American Association of Clinical Chemistry.
