Joseph Ferreira is the director of quality systems, and he specializes in clinical laboratory regulatory requirements, laboratory management and Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Joe has been with Labcorp since December of 1989 and has held leadership positions in clinical laboratory, phlebotomy and quality management.
Prior to directing quality systems, Joe previously managed laboratory operations and supervised the specialties of hematology and chemistry. Joe obtained Black Belt Certification and recently focused on completion of Master Black Belt training in Lean and Six Sigma. Joe holds degrees in medical laboratory technology and business administration with focus in healthcare management. He is a two-time winner of the Labcorp Chairman’s award for above-and-beyond achievements.
When not working, Joe reads about leadership, organizational management and Lean/Six Sigma. He also enjoys traveling and the sports of running, soccer and volleyball.
