How this phlebotomist turned her job into a career of empowering others

16 years ago, Jenn Knowles-Mommer found herself stressed and unhappy with the hospital shifts she was working, and she wanted a change.

“I was looking for all kinds of shifts, taking what I could get,” she says. “I was looking to make it easier.” Little did she know that her next position at Labcorp would not only enhance her work-life balance, it would become an enduring career. Joining Labcorp helped her follow dreams she had of moving into leadership positions, just like her current role as administrative team lead.

Knowles-Mommer likes knowing she’s making a difference for her team, and she believes that translates into better care for patients every day.
