Personalized Medicine: HIV-1 Resistance Testing

Sharon Martens, MN/ARNP, Medical Science Liaison, will provide a comprehensive overview of HIV-1 resistance testing including details of genotypic and phenotypic assays.   Applicability of each resistance test will be explored in fashioning the best treatment options for individual patients with HIV infection.  Participants will gain insight into the ability of HIV-1 resistance testing to extend personalized medicine in HIV care.
