Application of rapidly growing mycobacteria (RGM) media for disinfection efficacy testing

We have evaluated the use of rapidly growing mycobacterium (RGM) media in disinfection efficacy studies and shown its capacity to improve the accuracy of studies regarding undesirable contaminants. Often responsible for opportunistic infections in immunocompromised individuals, mycobacteria play an important role in tests designed to determine the efficacy of certain disinfectants.
